27.01.2019 | Final report
More than 1000 machines on display, numerous acts and shows, presentations, and seven motorcycle courses delivered three solid days of biker bliss at the exhibition grounds in Friedrichshafen. "The Motorradwelt Bodensee 2019 was an unqualified success. We're overwhelmed by the amount of positive feedback we've received from exhibitors and visitors alike. The major visitor draws proved to be the shows of the Wrecking Crew with the new double ramp as well as the supermoto and trial shows. All in all it was a great anniversary exhibition," declared project manager Petra Rathgeber.
The exhibitors, too, were satisfied: "Looking back, it was an excellent fair, with lots of visitors, great conversations and a lovely atmosphere. The visitors at our booth were great – well informed and intensely interested in our new models. We were also glad to see so many Swiss and Austrian visitors at the fair. All of our targets and expectations were met fully. If it's possible to top this, I have no idea how. The exhibition is very professionally organized and offers an excellent selection of products," said Christian Schmidl, southwestern district manager of Kawasaki Motors Europe N.V. The acting head of Sales at Paaschburg+Wunderlich GmbH, Carsten Hinrichs, was similarly impressed: "This was our first time at the Motorradwelt Bodensee, and it was – in a word – awesome. We're surprised at how well the exhibition went for us. Both the number and the quality of visitors really impressed us. So many of the interested people at our stand were very well informed and obviously had a lot of specialist knowledge. And compliments to the fair organizers! Everything just worked. The Motorradwelt Bodensee 2019 was fantastic and we'll definitely be coming back next year."
"Handmade not Mainstream" was the slogan of the Screwdrivers Customizing Area, where all manner of creative motorcycle modifications were on display. "Hall B5, which was fully devoted to customized bikes, was very well frequented this year – even better than last year. In fact, some people came primarily to marvel at the motorcycle customizations. This shows us that interest in the custom bike market is growing, not least because of events such as this one," reported Peter "Chopper" Herschmann, CEO of the "CHOPPER" motorcycle paint shop and one of the organizers of the Customizing Area. Tuning, finishing, modifications, airbrushing and accessories – none of them just off-the-shelf items – were the focus of the customizers' competition for the Best Bike Award.
The 25th anniversary of the motorcycle exhibition at Lake Constance was cause for celebration. On Saturday evening, around 2000 guests rocked out to the sounds of the bands The New Roses, Heaven in Hell, The Monroes and newcomers Gentlemen's Riot.
Biker dreams promise to come true again at the next Motorradwelt Bodensee, which will take place from January 24 to 26, 2020. For further information, visit www.motorradwelt-bodensee.de www.facebook.com/motorradweltbodensee and #motorradweltbodensee
